2025, a year to remember
A word from our president
2025 was an intense year for Zero8. Before one project had ended, it seemed we were right in the middle of the next one. It has been a lot of hard work and we're certainly enjoying a short winter break. But it has also been a year of very rewarding experiences and memorable moments. From debuting our Les Misérables set at the EBC in Helsingborg, to performing at a Roman amphitheater in France, to a sold out A Zero8 Christmas home in Stockholm, with many more things in between.
Looking back at it, we're both proud and very grateful. To all of you that came to any of our concerts, who helped with organisation and execution, or supported us from home - thank you. The encouragement and support is what makes us want to do our very best at every chance we get, and what makes us look forward to the next concert.
Looking ahead, the next year may not be quite as intense as the past year, but we will have plenty of activities this year as well. We're especially looking forward to our concert in Konserthuset with Chanticleer - our biggest concert ever in Sweden. But before we move into all that 2026 has to bring, we want to share some highlights from the past year.
We hope to see you again very soon - at a concert hall, festival or afterglow.
Samuel Andrén
President of Zero8
SNOBS / EBC 2025, Helsingborg, Sweden
The first half of 2025 revolved around rehearsing our new competition set from the musical of Les Misérables, spending countless rehearsals perfecting our music as well as our choreography and visual appearance. We’re incredibly proud to have won the gold medal and become European Barbershop Champions 2025, with an average score of 94.8, the highest in the competition’s history. A video of our Les Misérables set (from a different concert) can be seen here:
Summer evening concert, Stockholm, Sweden
As tradition demands, summer was welcomed with our annual summer evening concert, once again in Adolf Fredrik church — a venue that feels a bit like home by now. At this concert, we also premiered some new music written by Jesper Hagberg (the composer of Hjärtstilla), Brinnande Ljus.
Hong Kong Tour 2025
We had the joy of participating in the World Youth and Children Choral Artists’ Association festival in Hong Kong, meeting choirs and singers from all over the world. Here is a video of us rehearsing on one of the stages in Hong Kong.
Zero8 at the Choralies music festival, Vaison-la-Romaine, France
One of the year’s most breathtaking settings awaited us in southern France. Singing at Les Choralies in Vaison-la-Romaine and giving a concert in the extraordinary Théâtre Antique, a Roman amphitheater surrounded by history and beauty. We had a great time at the Choralies festival and we hope to be back soon again.
Zero8 x Akademen, Helsinki, Finland
In early October, we boarded a cruise ship late on a Friday and set course for Helsinki with equal parts anticipation and questionable sleep plans. The result was a fantastic collaboration concert with Akademen. We learned a lot musically, socially, and perhaps most importantly about how to party properly.
Open to the World, Vilnius, Lithuania
Vilnius has a habit of pulling us back. After our first visit in 2022 (and a return in 2023), Open to the World 2025 felt like coming back home. Highlights included performing at Swedish Night alongside Ringmasters and Lemon Squeezy, as well as presenting a choral-orchestral work Exodus written, arranged, and conducted by our own Rasmus Krigström, together with a wonderful orchestra.
A Zero8 Christmas, Stockholm, Sweden
After returning from Vilnius, the year came full circle with our traditional A Zero8 Christmas, this time in Gustaf Vasa church in Stockholm. The concert was completely sold out, and the atmosphere was everything we hoped for from a Christmas performance. This year’s program also included a Lucia procession, adding an extra layer of warmth, light, and that unmistakable Swedish Christmas feeling. Here’s a short video from our Lucia procession.
Coming up in 2026
If 2025 was intense, 2026 is shaping up to be something special.
We’re looking forward to:
Singing with Chanticleer in the Stockholm Concert Hall — our biggest concert ever.
Welcoming Westminster Chorus to Stockholm for an epic barbershop collaboration.
Heading out on a Japan tour
… as well as all of our traditional concerts.
Should you be interested, you can find tickets for our next show together with GRAMMY-Award winning Chanticleer at this link.
We can’t wait to share all of this with you, and to see familiar faces and new ones alike throughout the year ahead. Thank you for being part of our journey. See you in 2026.
